Philippians 2:2 Now make me completely happy! Live in harmony by showing love for each other. Be united in what you think, as if you were only one person.
4:2-5 Euodia and Syntyche, you belong to the Lord, so I beg you to stop arguing with each other. And, my true partner, I ask you to help them. These women have worked together with me and with Clement and with the others in spreading the good news. Their names are now written in the book of life. Always be glad because of the Lord! I will say it again: Be glad. Always be gentle with others. The Lord will soon be here.
Although the Philippians have strong church, they still have arguments. Some people don’t get along (be friends) with each other.
With God’s and the power of the Holy Spirit they can learn to live in harmony with one another. If they can’t get along they might not have success. Paul’s will be very joyful if they can work well together.
God’s people give joy when they are faithful to the truth. Our leaders have joy when we live the truths they teach. Their work is much more enjoyable when we obey them.
1. How does God give joy?
2. Why should we share joy?
3. How can I give joy to people?
4. Who is someone specific I can encourage? Who can I give joy to? How?
